Robert Klewitz is a Los Angeles based artist whose recent work explores the fundamental elements of vision and perception. His drawings and paintings examine the basic shapes, forms and colors to which the eye responds. In compositions ranging from spare to dynamically complex, he seeks rhythmic and tonal harmonies that reflect a deep interest in the intersection of physics, geometry and music, and the many meditative and spiritual states they may evoke. His work has been exhibited at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, Cornell University, Laguna Beach Museum of Art, Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery and Cameraworks Gallery-San Fransisco among others.
